I provide expert care across the full range of general dermatology, including adult and older children's skin conditionsskin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and advanced dermatological surgery.

I have a particular focus on skin cancer (cutaneous oncology) and perform Mohs micrographic surgery weekly in the NHS – a highly specialised, precise surgical technique used to treat certain types of skin cancer with excellent cosmetic and cure outcomes.

Areas of Expertise

  • General Dermatology – including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and rashes

  • Skin Cancer – early detection, diagnosis, and treatment

  • Mohs Surgery – specialist surgical treatment for complex or recurrent skin cancers

  • Biologic Therapies – advanced treatments for chronic skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema

Training and Experience

Before joining the NHS in Bristol, I worked in New Zealand as a Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon in the private sector. A country with one of highest skin cancer rates in the world and a high burden of sun-related skin damage. I am relatively unique in the fact I have the Australasian dermatology qualifications as well the UK credentials. I am the only dermatologist in Europe and the USA who is a member of the New Zealand Dermatological Society and the New Zealand Society of Mohs Surgery.

I received dermatology and surgical training in both the UK and Australia, with subsequent dermatology registrar posts in Bristol, Exeter, and Plymouth, and pre-registrar roles in Western Australia and the UK.

I completed an intensive 12-month fellowship in Mohs surgery, skin cancer, nail surgery, and laser dermatology at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle – one of the UK’s leading skin cancer centres.

Will is from Somerset, and grew up there aside from 4 years in Virgina Beach, USA. He lives in Bristol with his wife and 2 daughters, and dog. He enjoys running, hiking, and skiing in his scarce free time!
